ZincSmart™ essential minerals for colonies nutrition.
A feed supplement providing zinc and vitamin C to support the nutritional needs of the colony, particularly during brood-rearing periods. Formulated to complement natural pollen intake when foraging is limited.
Backed by 40+ years of expertise in zinc nutrition and bee health.
What you can expect…
Research shows that targeted zinc supplementation promotes measurable development of the hypopharyngeal gland in nursing bees, the gland responsible for royal jelly production and positively influences royal jelly protein composition (Prado Ribeiro et al. 2023; Camilli et al. 2021)
Increase in royal jelly
ZincSmart™ includes naturally acidic components that are expected to shift the feed toward a lower pH reinforcing conditions that are unfavorables to Nosema, consistent with the buffering approach used across our InvertasePlus™ system.
Balanced pH for stronger immunity
Adequate nutrition is associated with lower physiological stress markers in bees (Jovanovic et al. 2025) supporting overall colony resilience during periods of nutritional scarcity.
Calmer, lesser stressed hives
Well-fed colonies tend to grow faster and stay healthier supporting more honey, stronger brood, and better pollination outcomes
Larger, more productive colonies
🧪 ZincSmart™ additive
Stronger bees start here: ZincSmart™ nutrition
Our feed additive is designed to go beyond basic sugar supplements. By combining essential micronutrients with zinc-based innovation, we give bees the strength to thrive in today’s challenging environment.
Why it works:
Boosts royal jelly: supporting the development of healthier queens and stronger colonies.
Strengthen immunity: gives the colony's natural defenses a boost.
Reduces hives stress: calmer, more productive bees.
Increase efficiency: more honey, stronger brood, better pollination.
How it’s used:
Mix into your fondant (candito) or into inverted syrup made with InvertasePlus™; 15 grams of ZincSmart™ per 1 kg of sugar. Feed year-round or in times of stress, low forage, or winter prep. Bees consume it readily, making colonies stronger and more resilient.
One pack of 1 Kg enriches up to 66 kg of feed.
100% Feed-grade ingredients, precisely dosed · Made in the EU

“ Beekeeping today asks a lot of our colonies, Varroa, viruses, shrinking forage and for too long beekeepers answered with sugar alone. That's not enough and it’s not right. Selecting for Varroa resistance has taught me something important: the genetics can be there, but a bee under nutritional stress fighting nosema, viral load, or basic deficiencies doesn't have the physiological resources left to express it. Hygienic behavior, VSH included, takes energy. That's why I don't see nutrition as separate from genetic selection it's what allows the resistance traits we breed for to actually show up in the hive”

For a stronger, healthier colony
Proper nutrition supports bees at every level of their lifecycle, from larva to queen. Here’s how zinc-smart nutrition strengthens colony health.
Adequate nutrition helps larvae develop into robust worker bees, building a stronger, more efficient hive workforce.
Population growth
A healthier, less stressed queen lays more eggs, lives longer, and supports the overall stability of the colony.
Queen development
Honey production
Well-fed colonies produce and store more honey, securing energy for survival and growth.
Active, nourished bees visit more flowers and transfer more pollen, supporting crop yields and biodiversity.
Pollination efficiency
A well-nourished bee has the physiological resources to sustain its immune system instead of spending them just to get by. That's energy the colony can put toward its own natural defenses and hygienic behaviors.
Immune system & natural defenses
Winter survival
Strong colonies are better equipped to endure harsh winter months.
